Vision and Mission
The Discipline of Paediatrics and Child Health aims to provide holistic and preventive care to all children by providing excellent services at all levels of care. This can only be achieved by the development of child health policies, research in areas related to HIV and paediatrics and the sub-specialty fields relevant within the discipline, training of undergraduate and postgraduate medical and allied health students.
The Discipline of Paediatrics and Child Health strives to advocate for children by providing comprehensive and holistic health services to children in the Province of Kwazulu Natal at all levels of care.
The provision of best care & service is augmented by the training of undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, allied health professionals and appropriate research at various levels (clinical, laboratory and community) to address the needs of children.
