Biosketch | Fazana Dessai nee Karim is a qualified Biomedical Technologist registered with the Health Professions Council. She has a degree in Biomedical Technology and has 15 years of medical laboratory experience. She has been previously employed as a Laboratory Manager at K-RITH, Laboratory Manager at the Department of Medical Microbiology, UKZN; acting Laboratory Manager at the Hasso Plattner Laboratory, DDMRI and Head: Diagnostics at the CAPRISA Laboratory, DDMRI. She has a Medical Microbiology background and a special interest in Sexually Transmitted Diseases. | |
